Job Description:
A postdoctoral position, under the supervision of Prof. Luiz Carlos Barbosa, to work on Photonic Crystal Fibers made of silica and special glasses for future optical communication devices and systems. The selected candidate should conduct experiments and simulations, co-advise the students, engage in international collaborations, and interact strongly with other groups. He or she should explore efficiently our research facilities for specialty fiber fabrication (

Profile and Experience:
Requirements are: a PhD in physics or electrical engineering. Skills: objective writing, good communication and inter-personal relationships. Previous experience in optical communications or nonlinear optics is desirable, but exceptional and highly motivated candidates with no experience in these fields will be considered.
Language:
