Nursing Scholarship Program 2007 at HRSA
HRSA - U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Service Administration- 220 eligible applicants were selected to receive FY 2006 Nursing Scholarship Program funding.

- U.S. citizens or nationals (permanent residents are not eligible)
- enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time or part-time student in an accredited school of nursing in a professional registered nurse program (baccalaureate, graduate, associate degree, or diploma)
- free from any Federal judgment liens
- free from existing service commitments
- not in default of any Federal debt

We estimate that 220 new qualified applicants will be selected to receive the scholarship in FY 2006 and that all will be from the first funding preference group:
- who have a zero Expected Family Contribution (EFC) on the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA),
- have agreed to complete their nursing programs as full-time students beginning in the Fall 2006 semester, and are enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an undergraduate nursing program.

- Nearly 3,500 applications were received.
- 210 scholarships were awarded (total $9.8 million).
- More than 500 qualified applicants received first funding preference (zero EFC and enrolled full time in an undergraduate nursing program)
