As in past years, we are holding 2-3 spots in the program for extremely strong candidates who discover the program late in the recruitment cycle. These final positions are extremely competitive. Eligibility
Bachelor’s Degree
Applicants must have a 4-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited U.S. college or university or from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad. Equivalency is determined by the University of Hawai`i.

Professional Status
The Asia-Pacific Leadership Program combines the development of regional expertise with the enhancement of individual leadership capacity. Applications are accepted from the following candidates:
· Mid-career professionals
· High-potential early-career professionals
· Mature students with high leadership potential currently in graduate school or soon to enter graduate school

Funding
All APLP participants are encouraged to find their own funding. In the past, APLP participants have been partially or fully funded by employers, government agencies, NGOs, fellowships, minority scholarships, and other external sources; or participants have been self-funded.
In addition to the APLP Fellowships granted to all participants, a limited number of East-West Center funding opportunities are available. These awards are extremely competitive and require a separate essay question found on the application form, as well as a financial disclosure form found on the APLP website. Priority is usually given to applicants from developing countries in the Asia Pacific region.
